There is a lot of history at this site but house was kind of boring and visitor center was small for this very important historical figure.

I usually love all NPS sites but this one was a dud. Not sure why it has such high reviews. The swamp is boring to walk around and I have no clue why runners/joggers choose this place when there are a million other places to go. The boardwalk could be widened a little bit and was slanting downward in some places. It was a bit loud due to traffic and overhead airplanes so didn't feel like a good nature experience. It felt like D.C. didn't know what to do with this piece of worthless land so they gave it to the NPS and they tried turning it into a memorial to Roosevelt. Also, parking was maxed out and cars were waiting for a spot.
